    • Alamance County, North Carolina: A sheriff [Terry S. Johnson] orders officers to discriminate against Latinos, telling them, “go out there and get me some of those taco eaters,” and blew off the federal government’s order to stop it, calling a Justice Department report “meaningless,” the United States claims in court. http://ow.ly/go9ut
    • Sacramento, California: Police arrested a former officer [Gary Baker] on suspicion of raping a 76-year-old woman while off duty, the department announced. Sacramento Chief of Police said, in a written statement, that the incident does not reflect the rest of his department. http://ow.ly/go8Dn
