Family Outraged After Deputy Shoots, Kills Dog
It started with the report of a bank robbery in which the getaway car was a silver Camry.
Camry? The #1 selling passenger car in the U.S. in several recent model years.
Silver? According to cars.com, it was the #3 color for automobiles in 2007:

So you'd think that if a silver Camry is the only connection, any sheriff's deputy with half a brain would look for some more substantial probable cause before drawing his gun and conducting an armed search & assault of a citizen's home? Apparently not in Crow Wing County, Minnesota:

Sergeant Chad Paulson of the Crow Wing Sheriff's Department says the deputy had his weapon drawn because the bank robber may have been on the premises. He also said the deputy "shot the dog because it approached him growling, baring it's teeth ...

A bit of advice for you, Sergeat Paulson: If you're on someone's property & searching uninvited, without probable cause and without a warrant, and you don't like the appearance of the dog, get the h*** out of there.

Jennifer Stiernagle said Eddie wasn't aggressive, and though her dog had walked toward Carter, the two were separated by an invisible fence. Stiernagle was about 10 feet away from Eddie and her 2-year-old son, Derrick, was on the home's outside deck when the shooting took place.
Dahl said there would be no disciplinary action against Carter at this time.

As far as I know, the cowboy who shot the dogs was never disciplined and is still patrolling Crow Wing County.
This case illustrates exactly why one should always decline to talk to police or allow them on your property.
