Two Martinsville, Indiana, police officers apparently tasered a 10-year-old boy at Tender Teddies Day Care on 30 March:

Well, what else can you really do to a feisty 10-year old boy? They don't let you put your hands on children these days. I think a kid of his age can take it.

Tasers have been associated with hundreds of deaths. The Canadians are finally beginning to recognize that the taser is just another form of deadly force. The U.S. remains behind the curve and continues to use them as a substitute for patience and people skills.

I don't know what else they can use that won't endanger the police themselves. Sometimes it's hard to handle a feisty person. Tazing them gives them a shock and makes them stop.
