A case against Chicago police officer John Ardelean for possible drunken driving and vehicular homicide charges after a surveillance tape surfaced reportedly showing him downing shots in a bar prior to the accident.
He had declined to take a field sobriety test at the scene and wasn't tested with a Breathalyzer until 8 hours after the accident. The victims' relatives are claiming "that Ardelean received special treatment from his fellow officers." Sun-Times: Second look at cop in fatal crash: Tavern tape spurs new investigation
